Chief White Crane Recreation Area is a state recreation area, located about 5 miles west of Yankton and located on the shores of the Missouri River and Lake Yankton.
Open nm,*Year-round with vehicle traffic prohibited November 15 through the last Friday in March due to bald eagle nesting. Between Oct. 1 and April 30 water systems may be closed. Please contact the park directly for current status. Campground Map

The Fantle Memorial Park is home to the Huether Family Aquatics Center which is open during the months of June, July and part of August, weather permitting. The park also offers play structures, swings, lighted pedestrian trails, sand volleyball courts, and an 18-hole disc golf course. Visit www.cityofyankton.org to view and print the course scorecard. Bring your own discs, no fee required.

Camp, canoe, kayak, hiking, and more! This remote site offers 5 non-fee primitive campsites and is only accessible by watercraft. It is located on the South side of the Missouri River, adjacent to the Corps of Discovery Bridge.

Est. 1883 – 10.5 acres, picnic shelter, play structures, lighted pedestrian trails, public restrooms, ADA accessible, kid’s fishing pond with duck and geese, lighted skateboard park, basketball court, two lighted tennis courts, stone gazebo, Dakota Territorial Museum and green space.
